1. Sign Up or Login To Yapsody

Start by signing up or logging in to your Yapsody account to access our event creation dashboard.

After you log into your Yapsody account successfully, you can hit the Create Event button on top and choose the General Admission event. You have to create a General Admission event if you wish to create a web event on Yapsody.

This is the most important step while creating your virtual events. Change your event description with the appropriate details that will help your online event attendee to register without any hassle.

Make sure to change your event location to a Web Event that will reflect on your Online Ticket Store and also the time zone that your event will adhere to. 

Include your online registration link that will help them register to your online conferencing platform or add your LIVE streaming/Social Media links where they can join in once you go live. 

4. Set Up Your Event’s  Start and End Time 

On saving the event descriptions, you will be able to change the online event date and time based on when you decide to go LIVE with your online event. Upon clicking on Performances, you will find all Performance’s scheduled for the event.

You can also send them a promo code link with which will be auto-applied to the transaction with the discount. This functionality only applies to the General Promo Code Discount type.

Steps To Create The Promo Code Link For Ticket Buyers

1. Go To Pricing

After you log in to your Yapsody account, head to the pricing tab.

4. Terms and Conditions for Offers

  • This offer can be availed by both Existing and New Presenters on Yapsody.
  • The offer is applicable on a per Event basis on Yapsody Service Fees per Ticket.
  • Each event can avail only one promo code at a time.
  • The maximum discount that can be availed by the Presenter is only 25%.
  • To avail the offer, apply the Promo Code while creating each event during the offer period.
  • Existing presenters who are in our Loyalty Tiers can also use this offer if they apply the Promo Code while creating an event. However, it replaces existing Tier Discounts and associated benefits.
  • Once you avail of this offer, any existing offers applied to your event become null and void.
  • You can apply the code to existing events as well, but the discount will be applicable to the tickets sold after the code is applied.

1. Edit Your Event

Start by editing your event and finding the ‘Hold Management’ option in the Event Wizard.

You will see the list of Sections created by you. Click on ‘Add Hold’ to create Hold Categories.

You will get a pop-up window to add Hold Category. Enter a Name for the Hold Category and assign a Hold Code to recognize the different types of Hold categories assigned.

3. Select Seats To Place on Hold

The categories will be now be displayed beside the ‘Add Hold’ button. You can choose to hold a particular seat, entire row or entire section. Select the hold category and select the seats which you need to put on hold.

General Admission events are where tickets are sold online in an ‘Open For All’ manner of event entry. It creates a sense of urgency and the best seats in the house go on a first come first serve basis. Through our event ticketing system, you have an option to hold certain seats for the General Admission event. These seats can be booked by you from Box Office Interface.

Steps To Place Seats On Hold For A General Admission Event

1. Select Your Event

Select the event for which you want to hold seats. You will find the event information on the right-hand side. Select the ‘Edit’ option.

You will find different tabs like Event Info, Pricing, Hold Management, etc. Select the option Hold Management.

2. Add Holds

You will be displayed the performance dates, total ticket capacity, issued tickets, unissued tickets and number of tickets held for the performance. Here you can add multiple hold categories to place seats on for general admission events.

Hold categories will help you determine the reason for holding the particular seat. Select the option ‘Add Hold’ to add Hold category.

3. Add Hold Name

You will get a pop-up window to enter Hold Name and to select the code for the Hold. Enter the Hold name and code and click on ‘Save’.

You will find the different hold categories added by you. Enter the number of seats you wish to place on hold for each category and click on ‘Save and Proceed’. Those seats will now be placed on hold.

You can only book the Hold seats from Box-Office Interface where you will find the categories while booking tickets.

Everyone loves discounts, especially frequent event-goers who don’t wish to be too lavish. As an event presenter on Yapsody, you have the flexibility to give discounts to your ticket buyers based on different events and ticket selling phases. You can upload your own single-use discount codes, which gives your ticket buyers the flexibility to avail discounts while booking your event tickets. 

Steps To Add Your Single-Use Discount Code

1. Edit Your Event

Start by editing your existing event created by you. While editing the event you will find tabs like Event Info, Seating, Pricing, etc. Select the Discount option under the Pricing tab.

2. Select Discount Type

Click on the option ‘New Discount’. You will receive a pop-up window to select the discount type from the various discounts on the drop-down menu.

3. Add Your Single-Use Discount Code

Select the option ‘Single-Use Code and then Add my Custom Codes. You will need to create the codes and upload them.

4. Upload Codes in .CSV format

You need to create a list of codes in Excel and save it in.CSV format for the codes to be uploaded.

Select Upload File and select the.CSV file and click on Open.

Your single-use codes will be uploaded and ticket buyers will be able to book tickets using the codes created by you.

Being an event organizer we understand how important a survey can be for improving the overall event experience. Through YAppSurvey, you have the option of making it mandatory wherein your ticket buyers can checkout with tickets only after they’ve submitted answers to your survey questions. 

Steps For Making Questions Mandatory While Creating YAppSurvey

1. Go To YAppSurvey

Login to your account and hover on the account name at the top left and click “YAppSurvey” from the drop-down list.

2. Create/Manage Questionnaire

 Now click on “Create/Manage Questionnaire” at the top just below the search option.

Options such as “QUESTIONNAIRE BUILDER” and “QUESTION BANK” will be displayed to the Extreme Left just below the Yapsody Logo, where you need to click on “QUESTION BANK.”

3. Edit Questions

You will see a list of questions that have been already added to the Question Bank, in order to make an existing question mandatory. Hover on that question until you see a PEN/Edit icon on the right-hand side.

Click the EDIT icon and then click “YES” for the following question “Changes done to the question will affect the questionnaires in your account and shared accounts which use this question. Do you want to continue?”

Now check the box before “Mandatory” and click on “Save” to make the question mandatory.

You can also make a New Question Mandatory while adding it to the list, all you need do is click on “Add New Question” at the top after clicking on “Question bank” and then check the box before “Mandatory” and click on “Save” to record the changes.

To questions optional, uncheck the box before Mandatory and click Save to record the changes.

Complimentary Tickets can be issued only from Box-Office Interface as there are by definition, free tickets. Finding a way to make your privileged guest’s day? Issue them a complimentary ticket and make their event experience memorable. While setting up a complimentary payment option you can create unlimited categories such as VIP, General, Sponsors, etc as per your preference. Moreover, your account won’t be billed for issuing complimentary tickets as there are no Yapsody fees for tickets issued by selecting “Complimentary” as a payment option.

Steps to Issue Complimentary Tickets From The Box Office

1. Set Up Complimentary Payment Method

Click on your account name at the top left and select “Settings” from the drop-down list.

Now click on “Accept Payments.”

Scroll the page down where you’ll find an option of “Complimentary”. Click on “Configure” to set it up.

In case you wish to add categories such as VIP, Artist, etc click on “Add Another Category” after clicking on “Configure” and then click on “ADD” to link the payment option.

2. Select Your Event

After setting up the payment method, select your event for which you want to book complimentary tickets. Your event details will be displayed where you have to click on “Tickets”.

Select the number of tickets to be issued, ticket type and then click on “Checkout”.

You will then have an option to review the number of tickets selected and to amend your selection. Click on “Checkout”.

You will be re-directed to the payment confirmation page where you have to fill all the mandatory details set by you in the Questionnaire field for the ticket buyer. Select the preferred delivery method for tickets. (i.e Email or Print).

3. Select Complimentary Payment Method

While selecting the payment method you will get a drop-down menu. Select “Complimentary”.

Click on “Make Payment” and Complimentary tickets will be issued to the purchaser.

Re-planning an event but don’t want to spend your time recreating a new one from scratch? Relax! we got you covered! Our copy existing event feature will allow you to set up an event in a jiffy. All your existing event details such as images, pricing, ticket type get copied with minor changes such as date, location to be made for the new event.  

Steps To Copy Existing Event Details To Create a New Event

1. Create An Event and Copy Existing 

To copy an existing event, click on the “Create an event” button that is located on the top left of the screen between your Account name and Search bar.

2. Select From Existing Events

Select from a drop-down list of your existing events whose event details you wish to copy. All the details of the previous event get copied into this event however you can make the changes later to the details.
