Setting up your Facebook Application ID for using our Social Media Sharing feature is recommended, but optional. When you provide this ID, it enables Facebook’s Open Graph Meta Tags, which let you manage Facebook Pages for products where you can share product updates and engage with customers who have “liked” a product, and use Facebook Insights to track key metrics.

Providing a Facebook Application ID helps to ensure that the correct product image, product name, and product description continue to be shared in the event of some feature changes.

Steps To Set Up Your Facebook Application ID

1. Sign In To Facebook 

Go to the Facebook Developers Apps page, and sign in. Click the “Create New App” button. If you do not see the option to create a new app in the upper right-hand corner, click on “Register as Developer.”

2. Enter Your Application Name 

Use your store name as a name for the application in the “App Name” field.

3. Verify Your Account Details

After accepting the Facebook Platform Policies and having entered your App Name, click the “Continue” button. You’ll have to verify your account by providing a mobile number or credit card number. If your Facebook account has already been verified, you may not be asked to verify your account.

4. Enter Domain Name

You’ll now be on the Basic Settings page for your app, where the App Name you provided in Step 2 will be shown in the “Display Name” field. Check that this name is correct and that your contact email address is correct, and then proceed to the “App Domains” field. Enter your domain name in the “App Domains” field (e.g. papayadayspa.com).

5. Enter Store URL

Scroll down to the “Select how your app integrates with Facebook” section of the Basic page, and click “Website with Facebook Login.” It will expand to show a “Site URL” field where you have to enter your store URL in the “Site URL” field (e.g. http://www.papayadayspa.com ). Click the “Save Changes” button.

6 Assign Roles To Your Team

This is an optional step where you can give team members access to your application. To assign roles, click the “Roles” link that appears in the navigation menu on the left side of the page, and click the “Add” link that appears beside a user type listed on the Roles page to add a user.

The roles that may be assigned include:

  • Administrators — complete access to the application and all of its settings.
  • Developers — can modify all technical settings and access Facebook Insights but cannot reset the secret key, delete the application, or add additional users.
  • Testers — can test the application in sandbox mode but cannot modify the application.
  • Insights Users — can access Facebook Insights but cannot modify the application.
  • Test Users — can access the User view of the app for the purpose of testing the functionality of that application.

7. Copy Your Facebook Application ID

Copy your Facebook App ID which can be found by clicking “Settings” in the navigation menu on the left side of the page, and then clicking the “Basic” link, which will take you to the Basic Settings page. 

Your Facebook App ID will appear beside the “App ID” field, located near the top of the page. Once you’ve copied your App ID, you may paste it into either the Facebook-application-id field on the Variables page in Store Editor or into the Facebook Application ID field in the Design Wizard. Your store must be published after entering the Facebook App ID.

1. Login to Twitter 

Go to https://dev.twitter.com/apps/new and log in with your Twitter credentials. Fill up the necessary required fields, accept the Terms Of Service, and solve the CAPTCHA.

2. Submit The Form and Fetch Details

After submitting the form, go to the API Keys tab where you will find your Consumer key and Consumer secret keys. Copy the consumer key (API key) and consumer secret key from the screen into the Yapsody dashboard.

We realize how crucial it is to market your upcoming events and offers to your potential ticket buyers. By enabling opt-in for promotional and marketing emails, an option of “Presenter may notify me of special offers and events” would be checked, indicating your ticket buyers will to receive your marketing and promotional emails in accordance with all applicable laws globally, including anti-spam laws. 

Steps To Enable Opt-In Feature

1. Go To Settings

Login to your Yapsody account and hover the cursor on the account name at the top left and click on Settings.

Under the Account Settings page, to the left-hand side, click on “Transactions”

2. Enable Opt-In Feature

Now, scroll down until you see the option of “Enable opt-in for promotional and marketing emails as default”. Check/Uncheck the box in order to make the option default and make sure to save it.

As soon as you click “Save“, the option of “Presenter may notify me of special offers and events” will be checked by default each time a ticket buyer reaches your checkout page however it wouldn’t be mandatory. Your ticket buyer can still uncheck the option before completing the transaction if they do not wish to receive any promotional emails.

3. Access Customer List Report

In order to boost your business, our platform stores your ticket buyers’ data who opted in as well as opted out to receive promotional and marketing emails from you. In order to access the report, all you need to do is mouse hover on the account name at the top left and click “Customer List” from the list.

Now click “Filter Options” just below Customer Name.

Refer to the last option of “Marketing Opt-in” on the following Pop-up and click “Opted-In” or “Opted Out” as per your requirement and click “Apply.”

As an event marketer, you can use Yapsody to optimize your event pages for SEO. Optimize your event with the right combination of meta descriptions and keywords that trigger your event to appear on top of the search results. This is essentially free advertising, easy to do, and highly recommended for all your events. 

Steps to Optimize Your Event Pages

1. Select the ‘Marketing’ tab.

Go to the Event Setup Wizard by creating a new event or editing an existing event and select the ‘Marketing‘ tab.

2. Configure your SEO

Select the ‘SEO‘ option under the Marketing tab to configure the SEO for your event page.

The search engine preview you will find at the top of the screen already contains the default metadata that Yapsody submits to search engines based on event information you have already provided in the event setup process.  Anything that you enter into the text boxes (i.e., Meta Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords) simply overrides the default metadata.

Details on what Meta Titles, Meta Descriptions, and Meta Keywords are can be found on SEO sub-tab in the Event Setup Wizard. As you enter custom content into the text boxes, notice how your event listing changes in the search engine preview at the top of the screen.  This preview will give you a good idea of how your event will appear in live Google search results.

We realize the power of social media and how it impacts your overall event marketing strategy. After creating your events, you can share it immediately on your social media platforms. You have the option to promote your events on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.

Steps to Share Your Events

1. Sharing Events on Facebook

Select the event you want to promote and click on Promote. Click on Social Media

You’ll get a pop-up displaying “Promote your event now!”

After you click on Share, you will be directed to your Facebook page. Add a brief event description in the “Say Something about this” section and click on “Post to Facebook“.

Your event will be shared and promoted on Facebook. When your ticket buyer clicks on the event post, they will land on your Online Ticket Store.

2. Sharing Events on Twitter 

Once you’ve shared that event on Facebook, follow the same process and click on the Tweet sign.

You’ll be directed to the Twitter page with the event details where you can add your brief description before tweeting it.

Click on Tweet and your event will be shared through your Twitter. When your ticket buyer clicks on the tweet, they will land on your Online Ticket Store.

3. Sharing Events on Pinterest 

After promoting your event on Facebook and Twitter, you can also share it on Pinterest. Click on the “Pin It” Icon.

Enter your Credentials (Email and Password) and click on Login to choose an image and Create Pin by clicking on “Save.
