Yapsody is free for all event ticketing platform used by event presenters and hospitality enterprises worldwide. Our premium ticketing fees are very low and can be marked-up as extra revenue or passed on to your ticket buyers. There are absolutely no setup costs and monthly subscriptions involved. If the event is free, so is Yapsody ticketing which means no fee for “free entry” events. For new presenters, there are no fees for the first 50 tickets sold. Also, there are some scenarios where our ticketing fees are not applicable. 

Here Are Scenarios Where Yapsody Ticketing Fees Are Not Applicable

  1. On the first 50 paid tickets of any new account

  2. Any event for which you select “Test Event” as the event category type

  3. Tickets issued using the complimentary payment method (free ticket)

  4. Tickets with a price of zero (free ticket)

  5. Tickets with a 100% discount applied (free ticket)

  6. Refunded tickets (If you refund a ticket, the fee for the original sale is waived)

1. Login to Yapsody 

Login to your Yapsody account and select the ‘Settings’ option to update your details.

You will find different option’s on the left-hand side. Select ‘Company Information’ from the list.

3. Enter Company and Business Details

Enter your Company Information like Legal Business Name, Address and additional business details like VAT number, etc in the Miscellaneous option.

You can accept payments using the Bank Transfer method and issue tickets once your ticket buyer transfers the amount to your bank account. You can set this up as the payment method with the Pay Later option. After verifying the payment, you can confirm the booking and issue the event tickets.

Steps To Set Up Bank Transfer Using Pay Later Method

1. Add Pay Later as Payment Method 

Login to your Yapsody account and go to your main account settings to add Pay Later as the payment method.

2. Add Payment Instructions

Mention the Bank Transfer details like Account number etc. under payment instructions while adding the payment method.

3. Add Custom Payment Method

Add another payment method by selecting “Custom” as the payment method and name the payment method as “Bank Transfer”.

Your Bank Transfer payment instructions will be displayed to your ticket buyers on the “Make Payment” page and they will need to agree to them for booking tickets. Once, you receive the ticket amount you can mark the transaction as paid from the pay later list.

Invoices reflect ticketing fees accrued in connection with sold/priced (not free) tickets issued in the prior calendar month minus ticketing fees reversed from refunded tickets. The calendar month begins at midnight GMT on the first day of each month and ends at midnight GMT on the last day of each month. 

Example Scenario: You have an event on 15th February for which you sell 400 tickets to that event in January and another 600 in February. In February, you also refund 20 tickets that were originally purchased in January. Your January invoice will reflect fees for the 400 tickets sold in January (even though the event is in February). Your February invoice will reflect fees for the 600 tickets sold in February minus fees that had been incurred for the 20 tickets refunded (even though the refunded tickets were originally purchased in January).

1. How are ticketing fees calculated?

Our event ticketing fees are calculated on a flat fee per ticket plus a percentage of the ticket price, which varies by country/currency and Yapsody pricing tiers (Gold, Platinum, Elite). In some countries, the fee is only based on a percentage with no flat fee.

2. When are invoices issued?

Invoices are issued by the 2nd day of each month.

3. How do I know when my invoice is ready?

We notify account owners and any users with applicable permissions via email and also through the Virtual Box Office after they log in to Yapsody

4. When are invoices due?

Invoices are due 10 days from the date of issue.

5. What happens if I don’t pay for my invoices by the due date?

Accounts with overdue invoices will be suspended pending payment. As your due dates approach, we will send reminder emails to account owners and any users with applicable permissions and also notify them through your Virtual Box Office when logged in.

6. Where can I review my invoices in detail?

You can see a breakdown of each invoice in your Virtual Box Office Billing Tab. Click an invoice number to see its Invoice Summary, which includes a breakdown by Event & Performance. You will see the invoice details with the Transaction number, Transaction date and time, Ticket number, Yapsody fees, etc.

7. How are fees handled when tickets are refunded?

If a ticket is refunded, the corresponding Yapsody fee will appear as a credit on your invoice in the month during which the refund occurred (not in the month in which the original sale occurred). If you make refunds in a month in which you have no sales (in which case there are no Yapsody fees to offset the credit), you can contact our support team to request a refund.

8. How do I pay for my invoices?

You can pay your Invoice from the billing section of your Virtual Box Office by Credit Card and/or Pay Pal, depending on the currency to which your account is set.  Credit Card is available for most currencies.
