Many event presenters have taken the live streaming route instead of cancelling or postponing their event during the pandemic. Here’s how you can change your upcoming event into an online event:

  1. Log in to your Yapsody account and select that event from your Box Office calendar.
  2. Click on the Edit button towards the right side of the page.
  3. Go to the ‘Event Location’ dropdown menu and select ‘Web Event’.
  4. Make changes to the event title, description and/or date/time if required.
  5. Save changes

Remember, you can choose to issue new tickets or honor the preexisting tickets. If you choose to reissue tickets with the new information, here’s how you can do it.

The process of creating an online event is very similar to creating a regular event. Follow the instructions (here) to set up an event on Yapsody.

To create an online event,

  1. Click on the ‘Event Info’ tab in the Event Setup Wizard
  2. Go to the ‘Event Location’ dropdown menu and select ‘Web Event’.
  3. Add the event title, description, date & time.
  4. Save and proceed with filling the rest of your event details.
  5. Publish the event.

In case you choose to postpone your event, we highly recommend you email ticket buyers the new event date along with the reason for the change. Here’s how you can postpone your event:

  1. Go to the Box Office and select the event you wish to postpone.
  2. Click on the Edit button towards the right side of the page.
  3. Click on Event Info. Go to the ‘Performances’ tab. Upon clicking on Performances, you will find all Performance/s scheduled for the event, simply click on the one you want to postpone.
  4. A pop-up called “Edit Performance” will appear. Change the start & end date & time.
  5. Save changes.

Remember, you can choose to issue new tickets or honor the preexisting tickets. If you choose to reissue tickets with the new date, here’s how you can do it.

In case you choose to cancel your event, we highly recommend notify ticket buyers about the cancellation via email, along with the reason behind it. Here’s how you can cancel your event:

  1. Go to the Box Office and select the event you wish to cancel.
  2. Click on the Edit button towards the right side of the page.
  3. Click on Event Info. Go to the ‘Performances’ tab. Upon clicking on Performances, you will find all Performance/s scheduled for the event, simply click on the one you want to cancel.
  4. Now click on the Status button and select Un-Publish or Cancel in the Dropdown menu.
  5. Once selected, your event is cancelled/unpublished.

If you have paid ticketing fees to Yapsody and eventually decided to cancel your event, we will refund you 100% of our ticketing fees for the tickets which you have refunded to your customer. A refund would take up to 5 business days to process from our end.
